How do you charge?

Our fees are usually performance related and are based either on a percentage of the reduction in Rateable Value achieved, or of money saved.
In the case of rent reviews our fees are generally based on a percentage of the increase or decrease in rent we are able to negotiate.

Do we charge for checking rate demands and completing Request for Information Forms?
There is no additional charge for these services. However, we will charge a fee if we are responsible for rectifying an error which results in a refund.

How much of my time will you need?

After a short informal meeting we will ask you to provide a copy of your current rate demand and basic lease details, if appropriate. We will need to inspect the property but can do this unaccompanied. All you then need to do is keep us informed of any changes to the property, and send us copies of any relevant correspondence you receive.

How long does the process take?

It depends on when any appeal is lodged, and the capacity of the local VOA to deal with it. Appeals are normally considered in date order, and you can expect to wait several months, or even longer, before any result is known. However, we will always endeavour to stress any exceptional circumstances on your behalf.

When do you send me your bill?

We usually charge only when each aspect of our work is complete & the results known to you. This is normally when you have received the correct refund or credit to your rate bill.
