Paddisons expands

With effect from March, we now have another office, based in Nottingham.

We have been lucky to be able to recruit Andy Simons, who comes with many years' experience with the Valuation Office Agency, and in private practice, dealing with rating matters.

Andy specialises in the retail sector, has acted for a number of substantial national and international companies, and can be contacted on 07715-001-017.

The 2005 Rating List expires on 31st March.

With the 2010 Revaluation coming into force on 1st April, in most circumstances you have only until the end of March to appeal against the current figure.

In many cases, any reduction will be back-dated for 5 years, so it is worth contacting us urgently to see if any action should be taken now.

The next 5-yearly Revaluation comes into force on 1st April 2010.

All occupiers should now be aware of their proposed new Rateable Value, and new rate demands will be dropping through letter boxes very soon.

Clients and potential clients are encouraged to send us a copy for comment. If there is nothing to be done now, we can start preparation work for any possible appeal.
